Would the Montessori approach of education be more effective and less stressful for a child with ADD/ADHD?

Of course there are many factors to this, but can anyone tell me if this would be a better choice for an approach to their education?

Yes, to my mind child-led approaches are definitely better for kids with ADHD. Smaller groups, freedom to move around the classroom, the ability to change activities at will. Waldorf and homeschool are also good approaches, particularly unschooling. The more time ADHD kids have to discover their passions and follow them, the better.
