Long stressful day yesterday with an 11 year old son with ADHD. He had lost the privilege of video games the day before and decided to take out his anger on the rest of the family. My patience was tested to the limit for sure. It's exhausting trying to stay calm when a child is saying mean things to you for hours and I SO wanted to retaliate and lash out at him...BUT we made it through the turmoil and by bed time he was cuddled in my arms saying he was sorry and that he was hoping for a day with "less emotions". Today was a nice day. I wanted to post this to remind us all that we'll have good days and bad days but our kids are worth the effort. Keep smiling folks :)
I love this story and I know how hard it is to be patient …you set a great example by keeping your own emotions in check. Such a soothing conclusion Way to ride it out!
